Cocoon House by Planning Korea in Jeju, South Korea.
This plan by the architectural organization, Planning Korea gives us an exciting hint of what our lives and living conditions might look like tomorrow. With the completion date set to 2015 we can only patiently wait to see what the cutting edge house of the near-future holds for us.
Those lines, those forms, those structures. Delicious.
Mirror Mongayt by BERNASKONI in Moscow, Russia.
Uniqueness along with the full respect of nature.
I like the contrast between the rough interior and the simple, clean exterior.
KIT pavilion by atelier k, in Kyoto, Japan.
The confident form reaching to the sky definitely makes a statement. Very simply enforces the elemental need to reach the sky. The cut towards the back of the building does not only create a way to light up the interior, but also helps the structure to stay light, and energetic.
Beautiful. Does anybody else notice the similarity to Libeskind’s Military History Museum in Dresden?
Lumbrein Residence by hurst song architecten, in Graubunden, Switzerland.
Simple materials, unique look.
Untitled (painting) by Mark Weaver, from Atlanta, USA.
Artwork made for an art show. Strickly for geometry lovers.
Mas Rodó Winery by Sala Ferusic, from Barcelona, Spain.
A hip, modern winery in a historical region near Barcelona.
Check out the interiors too!
Kroon Hall, Yale University by Hopkins Architects and Centerbrook Architects and Planners, in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.
Attractive, energy efficient, open and spacious. Perfectly fits into the image of a modern university with great traditions. Love the form of the facade too.
Row houses by Han van Zwieten, in IJsselstein, Netherlands.
An entirely green project, with thin film solar panels, and recyclable materials just outside of Amsterdam.
To quote the architect- “In our new towns, the parking places, the parks, the banks, the trees—all of this is designed. In Holland, it looks like every piece of grass is designed.” - I could not agree more. A carefully planned environment equals satisfied residents and less harm to nature.
Once again, holland lives in the future.
Kirkkojärvi Comprehensive School by Verstas Architects, in Espoo, Finland.
With it’s northern simplicity and contemporary facade, the building is a good minimalist example of Scandinavian architecture.
V12K0102 house by Pasel Kuenzel Architects in Leiden, Netherlands.
No one would assume that the building was formerly a slaughterhouse.
Clear lines, minimalistic yet friendly look. Good job!
